New Home Construction
I’ve been building new homes for homeowners – not investors – in Fairfield County for over 20 years. I have found that the best results occur when I work in tandem with you and your architect from the start of the design process, which helps you stay within budget.
When we build new homes, I always keep the complete picture in mind, offering suggestions and ideas while obsessing over the smallest details. My subcontractors have been with me since the beginning, so they are trustworthy and operate under the same guiding principles that I do.
When you want to change a detail or add something new, you’ll be informed of the effect on your budget beforehand. So when your new home is ready, you can move in – without any surprises coming with you.
And to finish your property, we can add the features that will turn your home’s exterior into an additional living and playing space – patio, deck, pool, driveway, fire pit – all complemented by walkways and landscaping.
Additions
An addition can give you some much-needed space and make your home more functional. I bring the full force of my construction experience and longstanding relationships with subcontractors to bear on every addition that I do. You can expect clear and open communication, budget updates, and obsessive attention to detail.
Renovations
A renovation can update your whole house or space(s) within it to achieve a completely different use or aesthetic, all without changing your home’s footprint.
We understand that you will likely live in the home during the project, and that can be stressful. My team is aware of the disruption and will do their very best to keep the project contained and the jobsite clean. And we will set up a schedule that ensures the work is completed in the specified time.
Kitchen & Bathroom Remodeling
Kitchen remodeling and bathroom remodeling can add significant value to a home, along with every day functionality. But there is no reason why kitchens and baths can’t be unique and reflect your taste and personality. And because I have a custom cabinetry shop, I can offer my clients custom designs and solutions. This not only reduces transit time and shipping costs, but it means that I can create unique items and make modifications right up to the final installation.
Remodeling kitchens and bathrooms can be especially stressful for the family. Therefore, I start demolition only when all materials are on-site. My team works quickly and efficiently to complete the job within the specified timeframe, cleaning up daily and minimizing disruptions.
Masonry & Landscaping
Expert masonry and landscaping can add privacy, expand daily living space and increase the value of your property. As a general contractor of exterior spaces, I organize the multiple trades needed for each project. My team of accomplished exterior subcontractors design and install walkways, driveways, retaining walls, pools, fences, decks, patios and landscaping, completing the entire property and providing a haven of enjoyment.
Cabinetry & Customization
In 2007, I built a 3,000 square foot climate-controlled cabinetry and customization shop in Ridgefield, CT. My team designs and builds truly custom cabinetry, using locally sourced materials, saving shipping time and expense, and resulting in stunning and unique compositions. An additional benefit is that modifications can be made right up to installation.
Customization is a very unique service that I, along with my team of expert carpenters, offer my clients and to others in the industry. We set no limits on what can be recycled or re-built. Our custom work ranges from historical repairs of an exterior porch post to the simple modification of a dresser bought at a tag sale so that it fits just perfectly.
We carry an inventory of antique and salvaged wood and beams, and the area’s most reputable salvage yards provide us with materials for custom projects, ranging from simple barn beam mantles to building exterior pergolas from rough sawn beams. We also prepare antique wood beams for residential and light commercial projects.
Property Maintenance & Support
Over the years, clients have asked me for references for their on-going home maintenance needs. Instead of referring them to someone they might not be happy with, I began offering this service with the same level of personal attention and thoroughness I bring to construction jobs. My team uses my fully stocked shop and specialty vans for these projects, which often include rot repair, interior and exterior painting, roof repair, and small honeydo projects.
